At Sawyersville Wesleyan Church, our ministries are dedicated to serving and uplifting our community through faith, compassion, and outreach. Whether you’re looking to grow spiritually, connect with others, or engage in service, there’s a place for you to be inspired and make a difference.
Children’s Ministry
Our Children’s Ministry is led by Dawn Carter, wife of Pastor Tim. With 35 years of teaching experience in public schools, Dawn now serves as the church’s “special ministry coordinator,” playing a vital role in outreach projects and leading numerous children and youth programs. Her unwavering support extends to many areas, including assisting her husband’s ministry.

Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry at Sawyersville Wesleyan Church is led by Mallory and Robert Johnson. Mallory, originally from Pennsylvania, joined the Navy at 19 and later met her husband, Robert, in South Carolina. Together, they have lived in several places and are now raising their twin daughters, Kadence and Kassidy, and their son, Joszef, in Asheboro. Mallory shares that since attending Sawyersville, her relationship with God has grown significantly.

Ladies Aglow
Join us for Sawyersville Ladies Aglow, a time of fellowship, snacks, laughter, and inspiration! This monthly gathering is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other women, share in meaningful conversations, and be encouraged in faith. We meet the first Saturday of every month at 2:00 p.m.
Backpack Program
Our church is proud to support local children heading back to school through our Backpack Program. We provide backpacks filled with essential school supplies to help students start the year off right and set them up for success.
Other Ministries
Throughout the year, our church hosts several community outreach events, such as the annual barbecue, homecoming celebration and “Cutting for a Cause.”
